Torrevieja ("the old tower") is a lively town with many facilities including shops, markets, marina, sailing club, boat trips and many fine restaurants featuring both traditional Spanish and International cuisine.

Also closeby are the beautiful clean beaches of La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Campoamor. These are all European Blue Flag standard and are very safe. If you explore, you will also find tiny sandy coves away from the main beaches.

The coastal aspect and the two natural saltwater lagoons of Laguna Salada de la Mata and Laguna Salada de Torreveija that surround the town, create a wonderful micro-climate with an average daily temperature of 20°C.

The lagoons are home to a host of wildlife including flamingos and Laguna Salada de la Mata is now a conservation area providing walks and trails
